Here's a bit of information about my education and experience:
After obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and City Studies from the University of Toronto, I worked for the Ontario Pay Equity Commission in Toronto. I subsequently worked in the area of human resource management with the Ontario Ministry of Government Services.
While attending Osgoode Hall Law School, I worked part-time for the Law Commission of Ontario and summered with the Public Service Labour Relations Board (PSLRB). I've also worked in the Workers’ Rights Division at Parkdale Community Legal Services (PCLS) and have volunteered with the Workers’ Action Centre during law school. I received the Walter Williston Essay Prize in Civil Liberties in 2008.
Following law school, I articled at Emond Harnden LLP, a boutique labour and employment law firm located in Ottawa.
I have worked in the public, private and non-profit sectors. In labour and employment law, I have worked on both the side of workers and management. I opened my own practice to represent workers and individuals whose workplace and human rights have been violated. My practice has evolved to include real estate, civil litigation and estates.
My practice is built on the idea that law is more than just a business; it's about the pursuit of justice and helping people obtain a fair resolution to their legal disputes.
I'm licensed by the Law Society of Upper Canada as a barrister and solicitor. I'm also a commissioner for taking affidavits in Ontario and a Notary Public.
